Description

These Cheeseburger Sliders on Hawaiian Rolls are the ultimate game day appetizer and party food favorite. Juicy beef, melted cheddar, buttery sesame tops, and soft sweet buns make these sliders disappear fast at any gathering!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, plus more to grease baking sheet
  • 1/2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cups mayonnaise
  • 2 packs King’s Hawaiian Sweet Slider Buns (18 buns total)
  • 8 oz medium cheddar, sliced
  • 8 oz medium cheddar, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. With a pastry brush, spread melted butter on the bottom of a rimmed baking sheet and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the diced onion and ground beef, using a spatula to break up the meat. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and just cooked through before removing from the heat. Drain any excess fat, then stir mayonnaise into the beef.
  3. Gently tear off the top half of the slider buns and set aside. Place bottom half of buns on the prepared baking sheet and line with the sliced cheese. Spread ground beef mixture evenly over the sliced cheese, using the back of a spoon or spatula to square off the edges. Cover the ground beef with the shredded cheddar.
  4. Place the top half of the buns back over the beef and cheddar. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and tops are golden brown.
