Description
Cool, creamy, and refreshing – this Brazilian Lemonade (aka limonada) is made with fresh limes, sweetened condensed milk, and ice for the ultimate summer thirst-quencher. Quick, easy, and perfect for BBQs or poolside sipping!
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 limes, scrubbed and washed, plus wedges for serving
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 7 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups cold water
- 2 cups ice, plus more for serving
Instructions
- Cut and discard the tips of the limes before cutting into quarters.
- Pulse limes, sugar, sweetened condensed milk, water, and ice in a blender 5-8 times until everything is just combined and small pieces of lime rind still remain. Work in batches if blender is smaller and make sure not to pulverize limes or the drink will taste bitter.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a large pitcher or bowl, using the back of a spoon to push out as much liquid as possible. Discard any solids left behind.
- Divide the strained mixture between tall, ice-filled glasses, garnish with lime wedges or wheels if desired, and serve immediately.
